After the success of Saurang Orchestra, Surinder decided to record an album with a small ensemble that he could take on the road.
He formed a band of relatively unknown musicians (certainly in comparison with the legends on saurang) and set about making a more improvised jazz heavy record.
Each tune was composed quite quickly, often the night before the recording session, with arrangements being done on the spot during the sessions.
